# Influencer Outreach Email Templates (Copy and Paste)

**In short:** a good outreach email names the creator and a post of theirs you liked, says in one line who you are, states the offer plainly (gift, fee or commission), and asks one easy question. Keep it under 150 words, send one follow-up, and stop.

Most creators get more brand emails than they can answer. The ones that get replies are short, specific and honest about what's on offer. These eight templates cover the messages a Shopify brand sends most: gifting, paid posts, affiliate deals, UGC, follow-ups, re-engaging past partners and saying no. Copy them, then make every one personal; a template that reads like a template gets deleted.

These are general templates, not legal advice. Anything that becomes a deal should be confirmed in a written agreement.

## Before you write

* Watch a few of their recent posts. Mention one by topic.
* Know the offer before you send: gift only, a fee, commission, or a mix.
* Use the creator's business email if they list one; DMs are fine for smaller creators.
* Send from a real person at the brand, with a name and a role.

## Template 1: gifting offer

**Subject:** Can we send you \[product\]?

Hi \[first name\],

I loved your video on \[topic\]. The way you \[specific detail\] is exactly how our customers use \[product\].

I'm \[name\], \[role\] at \[brand\]. We make \[one-line description\]. We'd love to send you \[product\] to try, no strings attached. If you like it and want to share, we'll give you a personal link so your followers get \[offer\] and you earn \[commission\]% on sales.

Want one? Just reply with yes and I'll send a quick form for your address.

\[Name\]

## Template 2: paid post

**Subject:** Paid partnership: \[brand\] x \[creator\]

Hi \[first name\],

Your \[series or post\] on \[topic\] is one of the reasons we want to work with you. I'm \[name\] at \[brand\], and we're planning \[campaign\] for \[month\].

We'd like to pay you for \[deliverables, e.g. one TikTok and two Stories\], with product included. Our budget is \[amount\], or tell us your rate.

Could you send your rates and availability for \[dates\]?

\[Name\]

## Template 3: affiliate or commission offer

**Subject:** Earn \[X\]% on every \[brand\] sale you send

Hi \[first name\],

We noticed you've mentioned \[brand\] before. Thank you. We'd like to make it official.

Join our creator program and you'll get a personal link and code. Your followers get \[offer\], and you earn \[X\]% on every order through your link within \[window\] days. We pay \[schedule\].

Here's the link to join: \[link\]. Happy to answer questions.

\[Name\]

## Template 4: UGC content request

**Subject:** UGC videos for \[brand\], paid

Hi \[first name\],

We saw your UGC portfolio and love your \[style\]. We're looking for \[number\] videos of \[product\] for our ads and product pages.

The package: \[number\] videos, \[length\], \[raw or edited\], \[revision rounds\] rounds of changes, with paid usage for \[period\]. Our budget is \[amount\] for the package.

Are you open to it? If so, what's your turnaround?

\[Name\]

## Template 5: first follow-up

**Subject:** Re: \[original subject\]

Hi \[first name\], just floating this back up in case it got buried. Still keen to \[send you product / work together on campaign\]. A one-word yes or no is perfect.

\[Name\]

Send it about four to seven days after the first email. If there's no reply after that, stop. A third chase rarely helps and can hurt your reputation with creators who talk to each other.

## Template 6: after the gift arrives

**Subject:** Did your \[product\] arrive?

Hi \[first name\], tracking says your \[product\] landed. Hope you love it. A couple of tips: \[tip one\], \[tip two\]. If you share it, please tag @\[handle\] and mention it was a gift. Your link is \[link\] if your followers ask where to get it.

\[Name\]

## Template 7: re-engaging a past partner

**Subject:** New \[product\] and a better rate for you

Hi \[first name\],

Your \[post\] last \[season\] was one of our best. It brought in \[result, if you can share it\]. We're launching \[new product\] on \[date\] and you were the first person we thought of.

Want to be part of it? We can offer \[fee or higher commission\].

\[Name\]

## Template 8: saying no kindly

**Subject:** Re: partnership with \[brand\]

Hi \[first name\], thank you for reaching out and for your interest in \[brand\]. We're not taking on \[paid partnerships / new creators\] for \[reason or period\] right now, but we'd love to keep in touch. You're welcome to join our affiliate program at \[link\] in the meantime.

\[Name\]

## Which subject lines get opened?

* Put the offer in the subject: "Can we send you…", "Paid partnership…", "Earn X%…".
* Use the creator's name or content topic, not just your brand.
* Avoid all caps, "URGENT", or vague teasers like "Quick question".
* Keep it short enough to read on a phone.

## Email or DM?

| | Email | Direct message |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Best for | Creators with a business email, paid deals, anything with numbers | Smaller creators, first contact, casual gifting |
| Pros | Easier to track, attach details and follow up | Where the creator spends their time |
| Cons | Inboxes are crowded | Message requests get missed; hard to manage at scale |

Use the channel the creator lists in their bio. If they list an email, use it.

## What should you automate, and what shouldn't you?

Automate the timing: send the first email, wait, send one follow-up, and stop when someone replies. Don't automate the personal line. A first sentence that proves you watched their content is the difference between a reply and a delete.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do you write an outreach email to an influencer?

Open an influencer outreach email with a specific post of theirs you liked, say in one line who you are, state the offer plainly (gift, fee or commission), and end with one easy question. Keep it under 150 words and send it from a real person.

### How many times should I follow up with an influencer?

Follow up with an influencer once, about four to seven days after the first email. If there's still no reply, stop and try again later with a new reason, such as a product launch.

### Should I mention money in the first email?

Yes. Say in the first email whether it's a gift, a paid post, commission or a mix. Creators reply faster when they know what's on offer, and it saves both of you time.
