# Know when a competitor changes a price, before your customers do.

Concierge visits the competitor pages you name on a schedule, records prices, offers and new products, compares them with last time and tells you what changed, with links to every page.

The problem

Someone means to check the competition every week. Then a launch week comes, nobody looks for a month, and you hear about a rival's new bundle from a customer. Concierge does the rounds on schedule and brings back only what changed.

## What it does on every run.

### Visits the pages you name

Product pages, collections, pricing and shipping pages, in its own browser.

### Searches the web

Looks for launches and announcements beyond the pages you listed.

### Compares with last time

Each run posts in the same thread, so it can say what is new.

### Shows its sources

Every price and offer comes with a link to the page it read.

## How the job runs.

1. 1

    ### On schedule

For example every Monday at 9:00.

2. 2

    ### It does the rounds

Opens each page you listed and searches for news about each brand.

3. 3

    ### It compares

Prices, offers and products against what it found last time.

4. 4

    ### It reports the changes

A short list of what changed, with links, and a spreadsheet if you ask.

## A worked example.

A made-up store, to show how a competitor watch runs from instruction to report.

The store

A coffee brand on Shopify that competes with three other roasters on bags and subscriptions.

The instruction

"Every Monday at 9:00, check these three competitors' bestseller pages, subscription pages and shipping policy pages. Record prices, discounts, bundle offers and new products. Also search for any launch news. Tell me only what changed since last week, with links, and attach a spreadsheet of current prices."

What Concierge does

Opens each page in its own browser, reads the prices and offers, searches the web for each brand's recent news, and compares everything with the previous run in the same thread.

What it posts

A short list, for example "Roaster B added a subscribe-and-save discount on its blends" and "Roaster C launched a new decaf", each with a link to the page, plus a spreadsheet of current prices. Placeholder findings: yours depend on what your competitors actually change.

When it stays quiet

With "only when it matters", a week with no changes sends no message. The run is still saved, so you can see it checked.

A good follow-up

Reply: "How does their new discount compare with ours over a year?" Concierge works it out from the prices it recorded and your own plans.

The store and competitors are invented for illustration. They are not Chargezen customers, and no results are shown.

## Set it up once.

Every team job is a scheduled task: an instruction in plain English, a schedule and a choice of when to hear from it.

Write the instruction

Say what to check and what counts as worth reporting, for example: "Every Monday at 9:00, check these competitor pages for price, offer and product changes and tell me only what changed, with links."

Pick the schedule

Every Monday, every weekday morning or once a month. Choose the time in your own time zone. A task can run at most once an hour. Or skip the schedule and run it only when you start it.

Choose the agent

Pick which of your agents does the job. It works with that agent's tools, data access and approval rules, like any other job.

Choose when to hear from it

Every run, only when something is worth your attention, or never. With "only when it matters", Concierge compares the run with the one before and stays quiet when nothing new turned up.

Read the results

Each run posts to the task's own thread in Concierge, in the Chargezen admin and in the Finn app for iPhone. Every run is kept, with what it looked at and what it found.

Change it anytime

Edit the instruction or schedule, pause it or stop it. Stopping a task also stops work already under way.

## What to have it watch.

Start with a few pages that matter. You can add more to the instruction at any time.

### Prices and offers

Where it looks

Bestseller and collection pages, subscription pages, sale banners.

What it records

Price, discount, bundle or free-shipping threshold, with the page link.

A good schedule

Weekly; daily around big sale periods.

### New products

Where it looks

New-arrivals pages, collection pages, the brand's news and web search.

What it records

Product name, price and the date it first appeared.

A good schedule

Weekly.

### Policies and promises

Where it looks

Shipping, returns and guarantee pages.

What it records

Thresholds, return windows and guarantees, word for word.

A good schedule

Monthly.

Concierge reads public pages. Pages behind a login, or sites that block automated visits, may not be readable, so start with pages anyone can open.

## What changes for your team.

### No surprises

Hear about a rival's move from Concierge, not a customer.

### Hours saved

No more weekly tab-hopping and copy-paste.

### Proof included

Every finding links to the page it came from.

## Hand off the work that comes back every week.

Give Concierge the recurring checks and reports your team does by hand. It runs them on time, shows its work and speaks up only when you need it.

## Common questions

### What is an AI competitor watch?

A competitor watch is a scheduled Concierge job that visits the competitor pages you name, records prices, offers and new products, and compares them with what it found last time. You get a short, sourced report of what changed, and nothing when nothing did.

### Can it watch any website?

It reads public pages in its own browser and searches the web. Pages behind a login, or sites that block automated visits, may not be readable. It doesn't sign in to competitors' accounts.

### Will it change our prices to match?

No. A competitor watch reports. If you want to act on it, ask Concierge in the thread, and any change to your store follows that agent's approval rules.

### How do I set it up?

Create a scheduled task in Concierge. Give it a name, write the instruction in plain English, pick the schedule and your time zone, choose the agent that does it and whether to hear from it every time, only when something matters, or never. You can edit, pause or stop it anytime.

### Where do the results show up?

In the task's own thread in Concierge, in the Chargezen admin and in the Finn app for iPhone. Files it makes are attached to the run. In Slack, you can also ask the agent for the same report in a thread and it replies there.

### Does it react the moment something happens?

No. Team jobs run on the schedule you set, at most once an hour, or only when you start them. They don't fire on store events such as a new order.

### How much does it cost?

Each run is a Concierge job, so it uses your workspace credits like any other job when Concierge runs on Chargezen-managed AI models. Concierge Starter is $20 a month with 20,000 credits. Pro is $199 a month with 199,000 credits, or $1,990 a year.
