# Automatic Discounts

Discounts that apply automatically when conditions are met

**Automatic discounts** apply without requiring customers to enter a code. When cart conditions are met, the discount appears automatically — creating a seamless experience that increases conversion.

##### Higher Conversion

Automatic discounts typically convert 20-30% better than code-based discounts because customers don't have to hunt for codes or remember to apply them.

## Creating an Automatic Discount

#### Navigate to Discounts

Go to CheckoutOS → Discount Functions → Create Discount.

#### Select Type

Choose "Automatic" as the discount type.

#### Set Conditions

Define when the discount should apply.

#### Configure Discount

Set the discount value and what it applies to.

#### Set Schedule

Optional: limit to specific dates.

#### Activate

Save and enable the discount.
