# Quick Start Guide

Get CheckoutOS running on your Shopify store in under 30 minutes

This guide will walk you through setting up CheckoutOS on your Shopify store. By the end, you'll have your first post-purchase upsell live and ready to increase your AOV.

##### Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

*   A Shopify store (any plan works for basic features)
*   Admin access to your Shopify store
*   A Chargezen account with CheckoutOS activated

## Installation Steps

#### Install the Chargezen App

Start by installing Chargezen from the Shopify App Store. Click the button below or search for "Chargezen" in your Shopify admin.

#### Complete Onboarding

After installation, you'll be guided through the onboarding process. Select **CheckoutOS** when asked which products you want to set up. This will configure your account with the checkout optimization features.

#### Connect Your Store Data

Chargezen will request permissions to access your products, orders, and checkout. These permissions are required for upsell targeting and analytics. All data is encrypted and never shared.

#### Enable Post-Purchase Upsells

Navigate to **CheckoutOS → Post-Purchase Upsells** in the Chargezen dashboard. Click **"Enable Post-Purchase"** to activate the feature.

For Shopify Plus stores, this integrates directly with checkout extensibility. For other plans, we use a compliant post-purchase page.

#### Create Your First Upsell

Click **"Create Upsell"** to set up your first offer:

*   Select the product(s) to offer
*   Set the discount (e.g., 15% off)
*   Choose targeting rules (all orders, specific products, etc.)
*   Preview and publish

#### Test Your Upsell

Use Shopify's **Bogus Gateway** or test mode to place a test order. After checkout, you should see your upsell offer appear. Accept it to verify the flow works correctly.

## Verify Installation

To verify everything is working correctly, check the following:

# In your Chargezen Dashboard, verify:

✓ Store connected successfully
✓ Products synced (check product count)
✓ Post-purchase enabled
✓ At least one upsell created
✓ Test order shows upsell
```

##### Common Issues

If your upsell doesn't appear after checkout:

*   Ensure the upsell is published (not draft)
*   Check that targeting rules match your test order
*   Verify you're not using an ad blocker
*   Clear your browser cache and try again
