Last updated: 2026-10-19 Ten minutes of testing before launch saves you an awkward conversation with a creator later. This walk-through follows one click from a creator's link to a credited order, so you know every piece is connected. ## How a sale gets credited 1. A shopper taps the creator's tracked link. 2. Spark! records the click and sends the shopper to your store with a `czzn` value added to the address. 3. The **Chargezen Affiliates** app embed in your theme saves that value in the browser and adds it to the shopper's cart. 4. When the order is placed, Spark! reads it from the order, checks it's within your attribution window, and credits the creator. If any step is missing, the order isn't credited. The test below checks each one. #### Before you start * Your Spark! program settings are saved (Spark! > Partners > Settings) * A test creator, or a real one who agrees, with a tracking link * A way to place a test order on your store, or a cheap product you can refund ## Run the test 1 #### Turn on the app embed In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes > Customize**, open **App embeds** and switch on **Chargezen Affiliates**. Save. Without it, no click reaches the cart. 2 #### Copy a tracking link Go to **Spark! > Partners**, open the creator and copy a link from **Tracking links**. If they have none, create one to a product. 3 #### Click it in a private window Open a private or incognito window and paste the link. You should land on your store with `?czzn=` in the address bar. 4 #### Check the cart Add a product to the cart. Then open `yourstore.com/cart.js` in the same window and look for `fingerprint_id` under `attributes`. If it's there, the click is in the cart. 5 #### Place the order Check out in the same window. Use a real low-cost product or your store's test payment setup. 6 #### See it credited Within a few minutes, the order appears under **Spark! > Partners > Orders** and on the creator's partner page, with the commission. The creator also sees it under **Earnings** in their portal. 7 #### Clean up Refund the test order in Shopify. Spark! drops the commission to zero and marks the order **Revoked**, which also proves your refund handling works. ## If the order wasn't credited ### No `czzn` in the address The link may be a draft or archived, scheduled for later, expired or past its click limit. A password-protected link asks for the password first. Open it from the creator's partner page and check its settings, and check the link's destination is a page on your store. ### No `fingerprint_id` in the cart The **Chargezen Affiliates** app embed is off, or it's on in a theme that isn't published. Turn it on in your live theme. ### You bought in a different browser The click is saved in the browser that tapped the link. Clicking on your phone and ordering on your laptop won't be credited. ### You only used the discount code A code with no click isn't credited. Retest after theme changes App embeds are switched on per theme.
