# Campaign payments

Track the flat fees you owe creators for campaign work in Spark!, from pending to paid, and see what creators see under Earnings in their portal.

Last updated: 2026-10-19

Campaign payments are the fees you owe creators for campaign work: a flat fee for a video, a per-post rate, a seeding bonus. They are separate from affiliate commission, which creators earn on the sales their links and codes bring in and which is paid through [payouts](https://chargezen.com/docs/spark/payouts/overview).

You track them in **Spark! → LaunchPad → Payments**.

## The Payments page

The top of the page sums up **Total This Month**, **Pending Payments** (how many are waiting to be processed), **Awaiting Payment** and **Paid This Month**. Below is every payment, newest first. Search by creator, campaign or invoice, or filter by Pending, Processing, Paid or Failed.

| Column | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Creator | Who the payment is for. |
| Campaign | The campaign the work was for. A payment can also point to the contract that set the fee. |
| Amount | What you owe. |
| Type and method | What the payment is for and how it’s paid. |
| Invoice | The creator’s invoice number, if they sent one. |
| Due Date | When it’s due, for example from the contract’s payment terms. |
| Status | Where it stands (see below). |

## Payment statuses

| Status | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| Pending | Owed to the creator and not started. |
| Processing | Someone on your team has started paying it. |
| Paid | Paid. The paid date is saved. |
| Failed | The payment didn’t go through. Check the method and try again. |
| Cancelled | No longer owed. |

Spark! records which teammate processed each payment and when it was paid.

## How a fee gets to a creator

1. You agree on the fee: the rate on an accepted [application](https://chargezen.com/docs/spark/campaigns/applications) or the value in a signed [contract](https://chargezen.com/docs/spark/campaigns/contracts).
2. The creator delivers and you approve their submissions.
3. The payment is recorded against the campaign (and contract) with its amount and due date.
4. Your team processes it, and it moves from Pending to Processing to Paid.

## Fund your balance

**Make deposit** on the Payments page opens **Spark! → Settings → Billing**, where you add funds to your Spark! balance.

## What creators see

In their Spark! portal, creators see campaign fees under **Earnings**: total earned, this month, what’s waiting to be paid and a list of payments by campaign with status (pending, processing, paid, failed or canceled), invoice number, notes and paid date. Commission from their links shows separately under Orders and Payouts. Creators can read payments but can’t change them.

Budget vs payments

A campaign’s Total Budget is your plan. Payments are what you actually owe. Search Payments for a campaign to check what you’ve committed against the budget.
