# Payouts Overview

How affiliate commissions are calculated and paid

Spark! handles the entire payout lifecycle—from commission calculation to payment processing. Automated workflows reduce manual work while maintaining full audit trails.

## Payout Lifecycle

1.  **Conversion** — Order attributed to affiliate
2.  **Pending** — Commission calculated, awaiting confirmation period
3.  **Approved** — Commission confirmed, awaiting payout date
4.  **Processing** — Payout initiated
5.  **Paid** — Payment completed

##### Confirmation Period

Commissions are held in "pending" status for a configurable period (default 30 days) to account for refunds and chargebacks before becoming available for payout.

## Commission Statuses

*   **Pending** — Within refund window, not yet confirmed
*   **Approved** — Confirmed and available for payout
*   **Processing** — Included in current payout batch
*   **Paid** — Payment completed successfully
*   **Reversed** — Clawed back due to refund/chargeback
*   **Held** — Flagged by Fraud Agent for review

## Payout Thresholds

Configure minimum balance requirements:

*   Default threshold (e.g., $50 minimum)
*   Per-tier thresholds (lower for top tiers)
*   Per-affiliate overrides for special cases
