# 10DLC campaign

10DLC campaign registration

SMS Marketing

A registered description of what a business texts from local 10-digit numbers, filed with The Campaign Registry and reviewed by US carriers.

## What is 10DLC campaign?

Texting from a local number in the US takes two registrations. First the **brand** (your business, with its legal name and tax ID). Then one or more **campaigns**, each describing a kind of messaging you send. Both go through The Campaign Registry (TCR), the central registry the major carriers use. **What a campaign describes:** - **The use case,** such as customer care, account notifications, delivery updates, marketing, or mixed. - **A description** of the messages and who receives them. - **Sample messages** that match that use. - **How people opt in,** such as a checkout checkbox or a keyword, with the exact wording they see. - **Opt-out and help replies** for STOP and HELP. - **Message details,** such as whether texts include links or phone numbers, or age-restricted content. **After you submit:** carriers review the campaign. Approved campaigns are linked to your phone numbers. Your sending limits depend on carrier rules and your brand's standing. **Keep it accurate.** If you start sending something the campaign doesn't describe, such as marketing on a customer care campaign, carriers can filter your texts or suspend the campaign. Register a new campaign or update the existing one first. **Common rejection reasons:** opt-in wording that doesn't mention texts, samples that don't match the use case, a website that doesn't show the business, and missing privacy policy details. **How Chargezen handles it:** when you text from a local number, Chargezen registers your 10DLC brand and campaign for you from the details you provide.

## Example

A store registers a mixed campaign covering order updates and promotions. Its samples include "Your order has shipped: \[link\]" and "20% off refills this weekend. Reply STOP to opt out." Once approved, the campaign is linked to the store's local number.

## Why 10DLC campaign Matters

Unregistered or misdescribed texts from local numbers get filtered or blocked, so the campaign decides whether your messages arrive.
