Mailchimp sells SMS as a $20-a-month add-on to paid plans, and its Free plan can't send texts. ### No separate approval to buy texts Mailchimp says you submit an SMS Marketing application and get approved before you can buy SMS credits. SmartyTap texts are part of your plan; you still register your sending number with carriers for 10DLC or toll-free texting, and Chargezen walks you through it. ### Unused credits Mailchimp says its unused SMS credits expire and don't roll over.
