Store Settings
Configure your store defaults, notifications, and integration preferences
Last updated: 2025-01-16
Store settings control how CheckoutOS operates across your entire store. These settings establish defaults that apply to all campaigns unless overridden at the campaign level.
Access store settings from Dashboard → Settings → Store.
General Settings
Configure basic store preferences:
Currency Display
CheckoutOS automatically detects your Shopify store's default currency. For multi-currency stores, you can configure how prices display in upsell offers:
- Store Default — Always show prices in your store's base currency
- Customer Currency — Show prices in the customer's local currency (requires Shopify Markets)
- Order Currency — Match the currency used for the order
Multi-Currency Support
Customer Currency display requires Shopify Markets to be enabled. Exchange rates are provided by Shopify and update automatically.
Timezone
Your dashboard analytics and scheduled campaigns use this timezone. By default, this matches your Shopify store timezone. Change it only if you need analytics to align with a different business timezone.
Upsell Settings
Default settings for post-purchase upsells:
Offer Timeout
Set how long customers have to accept or decline an upsell offer. The timer creates urgency while giving customers enough time to decide.
- Recommended: 60-120 seconds
- Minimum: 30 seconds
- Maximum: 300 seconds (5 minutes)
{
"offerTimeout": 90,
"showTimer": true,
"timerPosition": "top-right",
"autoDeclineOnTimeout": true
}Discount Display
Configure how discounts appear on upsell offers:
- Show Savings Amount — Display "Save $10" or "Save 20%"
- Show Original Price — Strike through the original price
- Highlight Discount — Add a badge or highlight to discounted items
Checkout Extension Settings
Defaults for checkout extensions like trust badges and progress bars:
Default Position
Choose where checkout extensions appear by default:
- Above Order Summary — Maximum visibility
- Below Order Summary — Less intrusive
- Sidebar — Desktop only, appears next to checkout form
Mobile Behavior
Extensions can behave differently on mobile devices to maintain a clean experience:
- Collapse by Default — Start collapsed, expand on tap
- Sticky Position — Remain visible while scrolling
- Hide on Mobile — Only show on desktop
Notification Settings
Configure email and in-app notifications:
Available Notifications
- Daily performance summary email
- Weekly revenue report
- A/B test completion alerts
- Campaign performance warnings (below threshold)
- New feature announcements
Notification Recipients
Add multiple email addresses to receive notifications. Team members don't need Chargezen accounts to receive notification emails.
Slack Integration
Connect CheckoutOS to Slack to receive notifications in your team channel. Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack to connect.
API Settings
For developers integrating CheckoutOS with custom systems:
- API Key — Your unique API key for REST API access
- Webhook URL — Endpoint for receiving CheckoutOS events
- Webhook Secret — Verify webhook authenticity
Keep Secrets Safe
Never expose your API key or webhook secret in client-side code. These credentials should only be used in server-side applications.
Advanced Settings
Additional configuration options for power users:
- Debug Mode — Enable detailed logging for troubleshooting
- Test Mode — Show upsells only to staff accounts for testing
- Custom CSS — Add custom styles to checkout extensions
