The problem

Seal's export can split out subscriptions with failed payments, and that is worth doing. A card that is failing in Seal will fail in Chargezen too, so you can fix it before the move instead of after.

What moves over from Seal

Active subscriptions

Each subscriber's product, quantity, price and next billing date.

Schedules

Seal frequencies map to Chargezen plans with the same frequency.

Payment

Each subscription bills the payment method saved on the customer's Shopify account.

Good to know about Seal

Exporting from Seal

In Seal Subscriptions, open Subscriptions and choose Export data. Seal lets you export all subscriptions, only cancelled ones, or only those with failed payments.

Three export options

Export all subscriptions for the move, then the failed-payment list to follow up on separately.

Remove cancelled rows

The import only takes future billing dates, so delete cancelled subscriptions from the file.

Leave Seal behind. Keep every subscriber.

$199 a month for Shopify Advanced and Plus stores. No commission and no transaction fees, however big you grow.

Common questions

No, as long as billing is stopped in Seal before each subscription's next charge date. Chargezen keeps the same next charge date.

In Seal Subscriptions, go to Subscriptions and choose Export data. You can export all subscriptions, cancelled ones or those with failed payments.

Export them separately and ask those customers to update their card before you move. A card that fails in Seal will fail in Chargezen too.
