California Privacy Rights

This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Scope of This Notice

This California Privacy Notice ("Notice") applies to California residents and supplements our mainPrivacy Policy. It describes how Chargezen collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information of California residents, and explains your rights under California law.

Under the CCPA, "personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular California resident or household.

This Notice does not apply to:

  • Personal information of Chargezen employees, job applicants, contractors, or similar individuals
  • Personal information collected in business-to-business communications
  • Personal information exempt under other California or federal privacy laws

Categories of Personal Information

Notice Regarding Sale and Sharing

Chargezen does not "sell" your personal information in the traditional sense (i.e., for monetary consideration). However, some of our advertising and analytics activities may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under CCPA.

We may share identifiers and internet activity information with advertising partners to deliver targeted advertisements. You have the right to opt out of this sharing.

Your California Privacy Rights

California residents have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, our business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

Right to Delete

You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (such as completing a transaction, detecting security incidents, or complying with legal obligations).

Right to Correct

You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of the information and the purposes of processing.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing

You have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Chargezen does not sell personal information in the traditional sense, but some data sharing for advertising may constitute a "sale" under CCPA.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information

You have the right to limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to perform the services you request.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, provide different quality of service, or suggest that you will receive different prices or quality.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Submit a Request

Verification Process

To protect your privacy, we must verify your identity before fulfilling your request. We will:

  • Match information you provide to what we have on file
  • Request additional information if needed
  • Respond within 45 days (may extend by 45 more days if needed)

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. We will require the agent to provide proof of your written authorization and may still require you to verify your identity directly with us.
