Our Commitment

At Chargezen, we believe that everyone should have equal access to technology. We are committed to providing a website and platform that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.

We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA criteria. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone.

WCAG 2.1 Principles

We follow the four fundamental principles of web accessibility (POUR).

Perceivable

Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.

  • Text alternatives for non-text content
  • Captions and audio descriptions for media
  • Content that can be presented in different ways
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios (4.5:1 minimum)

Operable

User interface components and navigation must be operable by all users.

  • Full keyboard accessibility
  • Sufficient time to read and use content
  • No content that causes seizures
  • Clear navigation and wayfinding

Understandable

Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.

  • Readable and understandable text
  • Predictable appearance and operation
  • Input assistance and error prevention
  • Consistent navigation patterns

Robust

Content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents.

  • Compatible with current and future tools
  • Valid and semantic HTML markup
  • Name, role, and value for all components
  • Status messages for screen readers

Accessibility Features

Key accessibility features implemented across our platform.

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Use Tab to navigate, Enter to activate, and Escape to close modals.

Screen Reader Support

Our platform is tested with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver to ensure compatibility with popular screen readers.

Color Contrast

All text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).

Focus Indicators

Clear visual focus indicators help users understand where they are in the interface when using keyboard navigation.

Semantic HTML

We use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA labels to provide structure for assistive technologies.

Reduced Motion

We respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting and minimize animations for users who are sensitive to motion.

Tested Assistive Technologies

We regularly test our platform with popular assistive technologies.

Continuous Improvement

We view accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time achievement. Our approach includes:

  • Regular automated accessibility scans of our platform
  • Manual testing by users with disabilities
  • Accessibility training for our development team
  • Third-party accessibility audits annually
  • Incorporation of user feedback into our roadmap
