Files and outputs
Get spreadsheets, PDFs, Word files, slides and images from Concierge, find them in the Library, and save them to Google Drive, Dropbox, Box or Microsoft 365.

Ask an agent for a finished file, not just an answer: "Put last quarter's refunds by reason in a spreadsheet", "Make a one-page PDF of this week's numbers", "Turn this into five slides." The agent builds the file on its own computer, checks it, and attaches it to its reply.
File types agents make
- Spreadsheets: Excel (.xlsx) and CSV
- Documents: PDF, Word (.docx), Markdown, plain text and web pages (HTML)
- Slides: PowerPoint (.pptx)
- Images: PNG and JPEG, for example charts
- Data: JSON
Say the format you want in your request. The agent reads back the start of every file it makes, so it can check the content before it hands it over. Tables in a reply also count as outputs, even without a file.
Find outputs in a conversation
- When a conversation has files or tables, an Outputs button with a count appears at the top. Click it to list them ("N in this conversation").
- An output opens in a pane beside the conversation (full screen on a narrow window). Click Expand to focus on it and Back to chat to return. Press Escape to step back.
- If a reply is only a file or a table, it opens in the pane by itself.
- The link in your browser's address bar points to the open output, so you can share it with a teammate who can see the conversation.
- Show work under a reply opens Work behind this answer: the data the agent read and the commands it ran.
Preview and download
- PDFs, images, Word files, Markdown and JSON open right in the viewer.
- Spreadsheets open with their sheet tabs and show the first 1,000 rows. Click Download to see everything.
- Slides don't preview in the browser: click Download slides and open them in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.
Only teammates who can see the conversation can open its files.
The Library
Every file in your workspace is also in the Library: files you upload, files from conversations, agents' outputs and playbook files. Open it from Library in the Overview sidebar, or from the menu on Home in Finn.
- Tabs: All, Yours, Favorites and Trash. Filter by type (Images, Documents, PDFs, Spreadsheets, Presentations and more) or source (Uploads, Conversations, Agent outputs, Playbooks).
- New lets you Upload files, Add link or Ask Concierge to make…. Uploads can be up to 5 MB for images and 25 MB for other files.
- Select files and click Ask Concierge to start a new conversation with them attached, for example "Summarize these files".
- Each file has a visibility: Private (only you), Workspace (teammates with access) or Public (anyone with its link).
Give an agent your files
In a chat, click the paperclip (Attach a file) and add one file per message with your request. Agents read PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, JSON, Markdown, text and CSV files, up to 5 MB for images and 25 MB for other files. Scanned PDFs are read page by page as images.
Save to Google Drive, Dropbox, Box or Microsoft 365
Connect your account
Open the account menu and choose Connected accounts. Under File storage, click Connect on Google Drive, Dropbox, Box or Microsoft 365. Accounts you connect here are yours alone; teammates connect their own.
Ask the agent to save it
For example, "Save that spreadsheet to my Reports folder in Google Drive." The agent can search your folders to find the right one. With no folder, the file goes to the top level.
Approve the upload
The agent shows the destination, file name, size and type, and waits for your yes. It always creates a new file: if a file with the same name is already there, nothing is replaced and the upload is refused.
One file can be up to 5 MB for Google Drive, 50 MB for Box, 150 MB for Dropbox and 250 MB for Microsoft 365. Agents can also search your connected storage and bring a file into the conversation to work on it.
An admin can also connect a shared account under Integrations > Workspace file storage, so every teammate's agents can read it. Use a dedicated account (for example files@yourbrand.com), not a personal one. Agents read workspace storage but save only to your own connected account.
Troubleshooting and FAQ
The agent says my storage isn't connected
Connect it on Connected accounts in the account menu. If the card says Reconnect required, click Reconnect.
"An item with this name already exists"
Nothing was replaced. Ask the agent to save it under a new name or in another folder.
The agent isn't sure the upload finished
Check the folder before asking again, so you don't end up with two copies.
Google Drive refused the folder
Google Drive can limit an app to folders it created. Save to the top level, then move the file.
"We couldn't open this file."
Click Try again, or download the file and open it in its own app.
Can I send a file without a message?
No. Add a sentence saying what you want done with it.
