Recurring payment

Recurring payment

Subscriptions

A payment that repeats on a set schedule using a saved payment method.

What is Recurring payment?

A recurring payment is one charge in a series. The customer authorizes it once, usually at checkout, and the card, wallet or bank account is stored securely by the payment provider (not by the store) as a token that can be charged again later. What can go wrong: cards expire, get replaced or hit their limit. When that happens the recurring payment fails, and the subscription is at risk of involuntary churn. Smart retries and friendly reminders with an easy way to update the card recover many of these payments. Chargezen's failed payment recovery uses smart retries and reminders with a one-tap link to update the card.

Example

For example, a $40 monthly payment fails because the card expired. The customer gets a text with a link, updates the card, and the payment goes through two days later.

Why Recurring payment Matters

Every recurring payment you recover is revenue you keep, from a customer who never meant to leave.
