Bring your active subscribers, their products, prices and next billing dates from Upscribe to Chargezen. No double billing, no missed renewals, and no commission on your subscription revenue.
The problem
There is no one-click Upscribe import, and you do not need one. Upscribe's exports hold what Chargezen needs: who subscribes, to what, how often and when they bill next. The work is turning that into one clean row per subscriber, and Chargezen checks every row before anything is created.
Each subscriber's product, as a Shopify variant ID, with quantity, price and next billing date.
Each Upscribe frequency maps to a Chargezen plan with the same frequency, and the next billing date carries over.
Subscriptions bill the payment method saved on the customer's Shopify account.
If Upscribe charged through your own Stripe account, Chargezen can copy each customer's default Stripe card into Shopify.
One Chargezen plan per Upscribe frequency, with Contract import turned on.
Before you move, check whether subscribers' cards are saved in Shopify or in your Stripe account. Cards anywhere else need the subscriber to add a card in Shopify.
Choose what subscribers can change in the Chargezen portal, and set up cancellation offers. These are configured, not imported.
One Chargezen plan for each Upscribe frequency, with Contract import on.
Settings, Advanced Settings, Export Data, then the subscriptions report.
Ten columns, from customer email to currency. Every row is checked before anything is queued.
Before the next billing date, so nobody is charged twice.
Upscribe's help center (checked 2026-10-17) puts exports under Settings, then Advanced Settings, then Export Data, with reports for subscriptions, subscribers, orders and upcoming orders. Export the subscriptions report; the subscribers report helps you match customers by email.
It shows who bills next and when, so you can stop billing in Upscribe in the right order.
The import takes subscriptions with a future billing date. Leave cancelled subscriptions out of the file.
Each row is matched to a Shopify customer by email, with a default address.
$199 a month for Shopify Advanced and Plus stores. No commission and no transaction fees, however big you grow.
No, as long as billing is stopped in Upscribe before each subscription's next charge date. Chargezen keeps the same next charge date.
No. You export from Upscribe and upload one CSV file to Chargezen. It checks every row and lists any it can't import, with the reason.
Upscribe's help center (checked 2026-10-17) says to open Settings, then Advanced Settings, then Export Data, and pick the subscriptions report.
Not if their cards are saved in Shopify, or as default cards in your own Stripe account. Cards held anywhere else need the subscriber to add a card in Shopify.
