Creator commerce

Influencer

Creator commerce is selling products through creators, who recommend them to their audience with tracked links, codes or storefronts and earn a share of sales.

What is Creator commerce?

Creator commerce sits between influencer marketing and affiliate marketing. The creator’s job is to sell, not only to raise awareness, and pay is tied at least in part to the orders they drive. Common forms: affiliate links in posts and bios, creator discount codes, creator storefronts or link-in-bio pages with product picks, live shopping, and paid ads run from creator posts. What brands need: tracking that credits the right creator, commission rules (including on repeat or subscription orders), and reliable payouts.

Example

A supplement brand pays creators 20% on first orders and 10% on each subscription renewal from shoppers they referred. A creator who brings in steady subscribers earns month after month.

Why Creator commerce Matters

Paying on sales lines up creator incentives with the brand’s revenue, and lets a brand work with many more creators than flat fees allow.
