Subscription commerce

Subscription commerce

Subscriptions

Selling products or services on a recurring schedule instead of as one-time purchases.

What is Subscription commerce?

Subscription commerce covers replenishment (subscribe-and-save), curated boxes, memberships and digital access. Customers get convenience and savings; brands get predictable revenue and a longer relationship with each customer. How it works: a shopper picks a product and a frequency, pays at checkout, and saves a payment method. After that, orders are created and charged automatically on schedule until the customer skips, changes, pauses or cancels. The work after the sale (billing, payment recovery, changes and retention) is what separates a growing program from a leaky one.

Example

For example, a pet food brand might offer a 10% discount on a bag that ships every four weeks. A customer who would have reordered "whenever they remember" now gets 13 deliveries a year without lifting a finger.

Why Subscription commerce Matters

Recurring orders lower the cost of each sale, because you win the customer once and keep earning from them.
