Five Brand Affiliate Programs, Taken Apart

The short answer: these five brands pay from 10% to 20% of a sale, or a flat $35 per new customer, and the credit windows they publish run from 7 to 30 days. The most useful differences lie outside the rate: minimum sales, bonuses, promo support and who they say they want.

We kept this to one post because each brand's public page offers only a handful of facts, and five thin posts would add nothing. Everything below comes from the brand's own page, checked November 1, 2026. "Not stated" means the page doesn't say, not that the term doesn't exist. Rates can differ once you're inside a program, and none of these pages report results.

How does the Magic Spoon affiliate program work?

Magic Spoon's affiliate page states a 20% commission on referred sales and a custom $5-off code and link for each affiliate. Perks include free cereal and early access to new flavors. It's the only one of the five that publishes a sales requirement: "Our minimum is ~10 cases of cereal a month, or around ~$400 in revenue."

What to borrow: saying the minimum out loud. It stops partners who can't reach it from applying, and it saves everyone's time. The trade-off is that you'll turn away small creators who might have grown.

How does the MUD\WTR ambassador program work?

MUD\WTR's ambassador page pays $35 per new customer instead of a percentage, with a discount for the ambassador's community, 25% off for the ambassador and a free starter kit. Bonuses arrive at the first 5 and 10 sales, then $500 for every 50 sales.

What to borrow: paying only for new customers tells partners exactly what you want. Before you copy it, check that you can tell new customers from returning ones, and that the amount is less than a new customer is worth to you.

How does the Momentous affiliate program work?

Momentous's affiliate page lists a 15% commission, a new-customer bonus with a 30-day cookie, quarterly bonuses based on performance and engagement, and discounted products. It describes "limited spots" alongside its community of experts and athletes.

What to borrow: a quarterly bonus gives you a lever you can change without touching the base rate, and scarce spots make the program feel chosen rather than open to anyone.

How does the OLIPOP affiliate program work?

OLIPOP's affiliate page lists a 10% baseline payout that can reach 20%, a 7-day click window, regular coupon promos, a product feed updated daily, and samples and vanity codes for select partners. It runs on Impact.com and says all partnership types, online or offline, will be considered. The page also states a conversion rate above 12%, as the brand's own figure.

What to borrow: sell the program the way you'd sell a product. Partners care about conversion and promo support as well as the rate. A short window like 7 days favors content that sells quickly, so tell partners about it up front.

How does the Pura Vida affiliate program work?

Pura Vida's affiliate page offers up to 15% commission on all sales and a 30-day cookie, which it explains as credit "for any orders within 30 days of the original click." It adds an average order size of over $40 and exclusive monthly newsletters with promotions, content and codes partners can adapt.

What to borrow: publishing your average order lets partners work out what a sale pays them, and a monthly newsletter gives them something to post.

What can you learn from these affiliate programs?

  • Rate is only part of the offer: Bonuses, samples, promos and discounts all change how a program feels to the partner.
  • Publish the credit window: Three of the five say it. Partners who sell on long-lived content will look for it.
  • Say who it is for: A clear statement of who should apply saves review time on both sides.
  • Give partners a reason to post again: Newsletters, promos and new products keep a program from going quiet.
  • Decide what you're paying for: All sales, or only new customers? Then make sure your tracking can tell them apart.

To find your own rate, see affiliate commission rates and the commission calculator. Your platform's fee also changes the sums; see flat fee vs percentage pricing.

How would you run a program like this in Spark!?

Spark! lets you set commission rates, give every partner a tracking link, and offer a discount code shared across a commission profile. A sale is credited when the shopper taps the partner's link and orders in the same browser. You can pay commission on subscription renewals, and partners see their sales in their own portal. Spark! is software for your own program and doesn't come with a directory of publishers.

Spark! is $199 a month or $1,990 a year, with no fee on your partners' sales. See Spark! and pricing.

Frequently asked questions

What commission do brand affiliate programs pay?

Among the five brands here, published terms range from 10% to 20% of a sale, and one pays a flat $35 per new customer. Those rates reflect each brand's own margins, so work out your own before copying anyone's.

What is a normal affiliate cookie window?

Of the three brands here that publish one, Momentous and Pura Vida use 30 days and OLIPOP uses 7 days. A longer window gives credit for slower decisions, and a shorter one favors content that sells right away.

Can a brand set a minimum for its affiliates?

Yes. Magic Spoon publishes a minimum of about 10 cases or $400 in revenue a month. A minimum keeps your program focused on active partners, but it can also shut out small creators who have engaged audiences.

Should I pay affiliates per sale or per new customer?

Pay per sale if repeat orders from the partner's audience are valuable to you and you want a simple rule. Pay per new customer if winning customers is the whole goal, as long as your tracking can separate new customers from returning ones.
