Partnership ads

Meta Partnership Ads

Influencer

Partnership ads are Meta ads that run a creator’s post, or a brand ad shown under both the creator’s and the brand’s names, with the creator’s permission.

What is Partnership ads?

Partnership ads are Meta’s format for paid creator content on Facebook and Instagram. The creator gives the brand permission, and the brand puts paid spend behind the creator’s post or runs a new ad that shows both handles at the top. Why brands use them: the ad looks like a post from a person, not a logo, and the brand still controls the budget, the targeting and how long the ad runs. The creator never hands over a password. What to agree first: how long the brand may run the ad, on which placements, and whether the creator is paid extra for paid use. Those terms belong in the creator contract, not in a direct message.

Example

A skincare brand pays a creator $400 for a review video, then gets permission to run it as a partnership ad for 60 days. The ad appears with the creator’s name on top and the brand’s name beside it.

Why Partnership ads Matters

Creator posts reach only the creator’s followers. Partnership ads let a brand show its best creator content to the audiences it chooses.

Partnership ads FAQ

Are partnership ads the same as whitelisting?

They solve the same problem. Whitelisting is the older, informal word for running ads through a creator’s account; partnership ads are Meta’s built-in way to do it with permission and without sharing logins.

Does the creator have to post first?

No. A brand can boost a post the creator already published, or run a new ad that shows both names with the creator’s approval.

Can Spark! run partnership ads?

Yes. Spark! supports Meta Partnership Ads and TikTok Spark Ads, so a creator’s permission and the ad sit next to the rest of the campaign.
