Cart recovery

Cart recovery

E-commerce

Reaching out to shoppers who abandoned their cart, usually by email or text, to bring them back to finish the purchase.

What is Cart recovery?

A cart recovery flow usually sends a short series of messages after a cart is abandoned: a friendly reminder, then a follow-up and sometimes a small incentive. Each message links straight back to the saved cart so finishing takes seconds. Keep it helpful, not pushy. Show the items they left, answer common questions like shipping and returns, and save discounts for later messages so you do not train shoppers to abandon carts on purpose. Text messages need prior opt-in. Chargezen automations can start from an abandoned cart and follow up by email or text.

Example

For example, a shopper leaves a $60 cart. One hour later they get an email showing the items. A day later a text reminds them. If they come back and buy, the brand recovers a $60 sale it would have lost.

Why Cart recovery Matters

Cart recovery is one of the simplest automations to set up and earns from shoppers who were already close to buying.
