Audit trail

Audit trail

AI

A record of every step an AI agent or user took: what it looked at, what it changed and when.

What is Audit trail?

An audit trail answers "who did what, and why?" For an AI agent, it records the request, the information it looked up, the tools it used, any approvals and the final result, each with a time stamp. Why it matters: when a customer disputes a change or something goes wrong, the trail shows exactly what happened. It also helps teams improve the agent, by showing where it made good or poor choices, and supports security and compliance reviews. Chargezen Concierge keeps a record of every step it takes.

Example

For example, a customer says their subscription was canceled without asking. The audit trail shows that the customer asked the AI to cancel in a chat on May 3, that the agent confirmed, and the time the change was made.

Why Audit trail Matters

An audit trail builds trust in AI by making every action visible and explainable.
