Get a local number with the area code your customers know, or a toll-free number that works across the US. Calls and texts arrive on the same number, and Concierge answers both, day and night.
Type an area code or a state and go straight to its page, with the numbers open right now.
Both kinds take calls and texts in Chargezen. The difference is what the number tells callers, and who pays for the call.
Toll-free codes are explained on one page: toll-free numbers by prefix.
Each page explains where the code is, its time zone and overlays, and shows the numbers open right now.
Whatever number you pick, a digital employee answers the calls and texts that come in on it.
Concierge picks up on your business number, recognizes customers by their phone number and pulls up their orders and history.
Order status, changes, refunds within your rules, and questions about your products.
One tap to join the call. Concierge introduces your teammate to the caller first.
Calls and texts land in your team inbox, in one history for each customer.
You choose who answers each number: a digital employee takes every call, a teammate gets the first ring and Concierge picks up if nobody answers, or only teammates answer.
Pick a local or toll-free number, or bring yours, and let Concierge handle the calls and texts.
A local number starts with an area code tied to a place, such as 212 for Manhattan or 512 for Austin, and callers pay for it like any regular call. A toll-free number starts with 800, 833, 844, 855, 866, 877 or 888. It isn't tied to a place, and the business pays for the call instead of the caller.
Pick local when being from a place matters to your customers, such as a shop, a studio or a service business with a home city. Pick toll-free when you sell across the country and want one number that looks the same to everyone. Both take calls and texts in Chargezen.
Yes. Every number from Chargezen takes calls and texts. US carriers require registration before a business texts: 10DLC registration for local numbers and toll-free verification for toll-free numbers. Chargezen files it for you.
Yes. Bring your local or toll-free number over from your current provider. Chargezen checks that the number can move, you sign a letter of authorization in Chargezen, and you follow the transfer there. The number stays the same, area code included.
Not yet. Chargezen offers US local and toll-free numbers for now.
