A subscription plan in Chargezen is a Shopify selling plan group: a set of plans (for example "Every 2 weeks" and "Every month") attached to the products and variants you choose. Open Subscription Plans in Chargezen to create one.

Plan types

  • Fixed plans: subscribe and save. Pay each delivery, or prepay several deliveries in one charge.
  • Trial plans: a trial price for a set number of cycles, then the regular price.
  • Build-a-box: customers pick the products in each box. See Build-a-box.
  • Mystery box: you choose what ships; customers subscribe to the box.

What each plan sets

  • Internal name, and the public name and plan selector title customers see on the product page.
  • Interval: how often the customer is billed and how often orders ship.
  • Minimum fulfillments before a customer can cancel, and an optional maximum after which the subscription ends.
  • Discount or manual price: a percentage or amount off, or a fixed subscription price.
  • Cutoff days and first delivery, or a specific shipping date, for plans that ship on a schedule.
  • Delivery profile: the location that fulfills the orders and the shipping rate charged on every recurring order in each zone.

Where a plan appears

Each plan can be turned on or off per channel:

  • Online Store: product pages, cart and checkout.
  • Portal: plans customers can switch to in the customer portal.
  • Contract import: plans available when you create or import subscription contracts.
  • Subscription management: plans you can move a subscription to from the admin.
Hiding a plan from the Online Store

Turning off the Online Store channel removes the plan's products from it in Shopify, so the plan can no longer be bought on your storefront. Existing subscriptions keep billing.
