Filters and segments

Search, filter and sort subscription contracts and customers, save a filter as a segment, and build segments with conditions and a live preview.

Last updated: 2026-10-18

Filters find the subscriptions you're looking for, like everyone renewing in the next 7 days on a certain product. A segment is a filter you save and come back to. Filters live on Subscriptions → Manage → Contracts and Customers; saved segments are listed under Subscriptions → Manage → Segments.

Search and sort contracts

  • Search by name, email, phone, contract ID, product or plan.
  • Sort: Created · newest first (the default), Created · oldest first, Next charge · soonest first, Next charge · latest first, or Status · A to Z.
  • The Customers list searches by name or email and sorts by Newest customers, Oldest customers, Name · A to Z or Name · Z to A. A customer matches a filter when any of their subscriptions matches.

Filter the list

1

Add a filter

Choose Filter. The Common list has Status, Next charge date, Product, Selling plan, Subscription created, Billing interval, Subscription source and Customer tags. All filters groups the rest under Subscription, Customer, Orders, Products in this subscription and Selling plans.

2

Set the condition

Choose how to compare, for example is, is any of, contains, is between, is in the next or is set. Dates have presets: Today, In the next 7 days, In the next 30 days, In the last 7 days, In the last 30 days or Custom. Choose Apply filter.

3

Combine filters

Under Match, choose All filters, Any filter or Any group. Use Add alternative group for "this set of filters, or that one".

Orders and products filters open their own editor. Choose Orders to check (this subscription's orders or this customer's orders), whether to include subscriptions that Have a matching or Have no matching record, and whether the same record must match All conditions or Any condition.

Save a filter as a segment

With filters applied, choose Save next to the search. Enter a Filter name, choose Create a new segment (or update one you already have) and choose Save segment. Saved filters appear in the selector at the top of the list. The search text, sort and page aren't saved.

Create a segment from scratch

1

Start

Go to Segments and choose Create segments.

2

Name it

Under Segment Details, enter a Name and an optional Description.

3

Add conditions

Under Conditions, use Add filter to describe the subscriptions. The same filters as the contracts list are available.

4

Check the preview

Subscriptions Preview shows how many subscriptions match and a short sample. Set Status to Active or Draft in the summary.

5

Save

Choose Save on the Unsaved changes bar at the top of the page.

The Segments list shows each segment's size, status and created date. Use the row buttons to Duplicate or Delete a segment. Deleting can't be undone.

Export what you found

After filtering the contracts list, Export emails you a CSV of exactly those subscriptions. See Export subscriptions.

Troubleshooting

I can't find the save button on a new segment

Saving happens on the Unsaved changes bar that appears once you make a change. A segment needs a name.

My filter matches too many subscriptions

Check Match. With Any filter, a subscription only needs to match one filter. Switch to All filters.

Status shows Canceled in one place and Cancelled in another

Both mean the same status.
