Upsells for subscribers
Offer subscribers extra products for their next order in the Chargezen launcher, and sell subscriptions after checkout with post-purchase offers.
Last updated: 2026-10-18
Subscribers already trust you with a regular order, so adding one more item to it is an easy yes. Chargezen shows these offers inside the launcher where subscribers manage their orders, and Concierge can suggest the same offers in chat. Set them up in Concierge → Upsells.
Create an upsell
Start
In Concierge → Upsells, choose New upsell.
Choose products
Under Products, select the variants to add to the next order.
Write the offer
Under Offer, fill in the title, subtitle, button text, number of orders and discount.
Pick where it shows
Under Launcher Tabs, keep Subscriptions on, and add Orders or Rewards if you like.
Activate
Set Status to Active, add dates under Schedule if the offer is seasonal, and save.
Offer options
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Products | One or more variants to add to the customer's next subscription order. |
| Title and Subtitle | The words customers see on the offer. |
| Button text | Starts as "Add to next order", or "Add to next 3 orders" when the offer covers several orders. |
| Number of orders | From 1 to 6. How many upcoming orders the item is added to. Customers see every date and the total before they accept. |
| Discount type and Discount | Percentage, Fixed amount or Custom price, and the value. |
| Schedule | Start date and End date. Leave them blank to keep the offer available whenever it is active. |
| Status | Draft (new offers start here), Active or Archived. |
| Launcher Tabs | Where the offer appears: Subscriptions (shown when a customer opens the subscriptions tab), Orders or Rewards. |
Manage your upsells
The list can be searched by title or subtitle and filtered by status and launcher tab. Columns show the offer, its launcher tabs, discount, status and last update. Archive an offer you no longer want with Archive upsell.
Sell subscriptions after checkout
Post-purchase offers (in CheckoutOS) can sell a product as a subscription right after checkout. In the offer editor, set Sell as to Subscription and choose the Subscription plan. To target buyers, use the trigger Subscription with The order includes a subscription or The order has no subscription, for example to offer auto-ship to one-time buyers. See the CheckoutOS docs.
An item that is used up alongside the subscription, like a refill, filter or sampler, is the easiest add-on to accept.
Troubleshooting
My upsell doesn't show in the launcher
Check that the status is Active, today is inside the Schedule dates, and the right Launcher Tabs are on. The subscriptions tab must also be turned on in the launcher. See Customize the portal.
I can't save the offer
The editor names what is missing: "Title is required", "Button text is required", "Select at least one launcher tab", "Select at least one product variant", "Discount value must be a number" or "End date must be after start date".
