Export subscriptions

Download your subscription contracts as a CSV, export any subscription report by email, and save dashboard data straight to your computer.

There are three ways to get subscription data out of Chargezen: the contracts list export, report exports, and dashboard downloads. All three give you a CSV file you can open in any spreadsheet.

Export the contracts list

1

Filter the list

Open Subscriptions → Manage → Contracts. Search or filter to the subscriptions you want, or leave it unfiltered for all of them. See Filters and segments.

2

Request the export

Choose Export. The Export matching subscriptions dialog shows how many subscriptions match; the export includes every page of them.

3

Enter an email

Enter the Email for the download link and choose Request export.

4

Download

The file is built in the background. An email titled "Download Exported File" arrives with the download link.

The CSV has one row per subscription, with these columns:

  1. ShopifyCustomerID
  2. Email
  3. FirstName
  4. LastName
  5. SubscriptionID
  6. SubscriptionStatus
  7. VariantID, Price, Quantity and Name for each product (numbered 1, 2, 3 and so on)
  8. ShopifyOrderID
  9. ShippingAddress
  10. PaymentMethod
  11. BillingInterval
  12. DeliveryInterval
  13. CreatedAt
  14. UpdatedAt
  15. NextBillingDate
  16. CurrencyCode
  17. TotalReceived

Export a report

Open Subscriptions → Analytics → Reports, pick a report and dates, then choose Export CSV. Check the Email and choose Export. Use reports for data the contracts list doesn't have:

  • Subscription orders for every order your subscriptions created.
  • Subscription customers for one row per subscriber.
  • Chargezen transactions for every charge, with failures and error types.
  • Inventory forecast for units due on upcoming charges.

See Subscription reports for the full list.

Download dashboard data

On any dashboard under Subscriptions → Analytics → Dashboards, choose the Export dataicon. The CSV downloads straight to your computer, with the dates and filters you picked.

Orders and customers lists

The Orders and Customers lists don't have their own export button. Use the Subscription orders and Subscription customers reports instead.

Troubleshooting

The download email hasn't arrived

Big exports take a little longer. Check the address you entered and your spam folder, then request it again.

The file has more or fewer subscriptions than I expected

The export follows the search and filters on screen when you chose Export. Check them, then export again.

Why do some rows have more product columns?

Each product on a subscription gets its own numbered set of columns, so subscriptions with more products fill more columns.
