How Commissions Are Credited
For creators: a sale is yours when the shopper taps your link and orders in the same browser within the brand’s window. What counts, what doesn’t, and why.

You should know exactly when a sale is yours. Spark! uses one rule, the click rule, for every brand on the platform:
An order is credited to you when the shopper tapped your tracked link and then ordered in the same browser, within the brand's attribution window. If they tapped more than one creator's link, the most recent tap wins.
What happens behind a tap
- A shopper taps your link, such as one on
czzn.ccor your own short-link domain. - Spark! records the click and sends them to the brand's store with a click token in the address.
- The store saves that token in the shopper's browser and adds it to their cart.
- When they order, Spark! reads the token, checks it's still inside the window, and credits you.
The window is set by each brand. It's 90 days unless the brand changed it.
What you earn
Your commission is your rate times the order's subtotal: what the shopper paid for the products after discounts, before shipping and tax. A 10% rate on a $80 subtotal earns $8. Your rate comes from the commission profile the brand put you on.
Subscriptions pay you again. When a shopper you referred subscribes, you earn on their renewal orders too, not just the first one.
What counts
- A tap on any of your tracked links, including QR codes, then an order in the same browser
- A tap on a brand product or coupon block on your bio page (they go through your tracked link)
- An order days or weeks later, as long as it’s inside the brand’s window and nobody else’s link was tapped since
- Renewal orders from subscribers you referred
What doesn't count
- Your code with no tap. If a shopper types your discount code without ever tapping your link, the order isn't credited. Always share the link; the code is the reason to tap it.
- A different device or browser. Tapping on a phone and buying on a laptop isn't credited.
- A tap older than the window.
- A later tap on someone else's link. The most recent tap wins.
- Orders the brand creates for the shopper, like draft orders made in Shopify admin.
After an order is credited
You'll find it under Earnings > Orders in the creator portal, as Pending. It moves to Approved when the brand adds it to a payout, and to Paid when they send the money. If the order is refunded, your commission goes down by the refunded share. See Getting paid.
FAQ
Does it work if the shopper browses privately?
Yes, as long as they order in the same private window. Closing the window clears the click.
An order I referred isn't showing. What now?
Check whether the shopper tapped your link or only used your code, and whether they bought on the same device. If they did both and it's still missing, contact the brand with the order date.
Is the rule the same for every brand?
Yes. Only the window length and your rate change from brand to brand.
