Creating Links

Links can be created by affiliates through their portal or by you through the admin dashboard. This guide covers both methods.

Affiliates can create their own links from the portal:

As an admin, you can create links for any affiliate:

• Navigate to Spark! → Tracking Links
• Click "Create Link" and select the affiliate
• Configure destination and parameters
• Generate and optionally email the link to the affiliate

Standard Spark! links use this format:

https://yourstore.com?ref=AFFILIATE_CODE

With a custom domain:

https://go.yourstore.com/AFFILIATE_CODE

Deep link to a product:

https://yourstore.com/products/item-name?ref=AFFILIATE_CODE

• Custom Slug — Replace affiliate code with memorable text (e.g., /sarah instead of /af123)
• Redirect Type — 301 (permanent) or 302 (temporary)
• Expiration — Link stops working after date or click limit
• Password Protection — Require password to access (for exclusive deals)
• Geographic Targeting — Redirect to different URLs by country

Each link tracks:

• Total clicks and unique clicks
• Conversions and conversion rate
• Revenue generated
• Click sources (direct, social, email)
• Device and browser breakdown
• Geographic distribution
