Tax Info
For creators: the tax details Spark! collects (your tax residency and address), where to see them, and why tax forms come from the brand that pays you.

Spark! keeps tax paperwork light. It collects the few details brands need to know who they're paying and where you pay tax. Tax forms and tax documents are between you and the brand that pays you.
What Spark! collects
- Tax residency: the country where you pay tax. You choose it when you sign up for a brand's program, and it's required.
- Your name and company: under Settings > Profile > Personal details. Leave the company blank if you work under your own name.
- Your address: under Settings > Profile > Address. It's used on your payouts and tax details.
The brand sees these on your partner profile in its admin.
Changing your tax residency
Your tax residency is shown under Settings > Profile, in the Where you promote section. It comes from your sign-up and can't be changed in the portal. If it's wrong or has changed, tell the brand that pays you so its tax records are right.
What Spark! doesn't collect
Spark! doesn't ask for tax ID numbers or tax forms such as a W-9 or W-8BEN, and it doesn't issue year-end tax forms like a 1099. Because the brand pays you, the brand is the one that asks for any forms it needs and sends any year-end documents. Expect that request by email or in Messages.
Whether your commissions are taxable, and which forms you need, depends on where you live and how you work. Ask a tax professional.
FAQ
Will I get a 1099 from Spark!?
No. Spark! doesn't pay you; the brand does. Ask the brand about year-end tax forms.
How do I add up what I earned this year?
Use Earnings > Payouts for each brand. Every payment shows its amount, date and the brand's reference.
