Installation

This guide walks you through installing Spark! on your Shopify store. The process takes about 5 minutes and doesn't require any coding knowledge.

To confirm Spark! is installed correctly:

• Open your storefront in an incognito/private browser window
• Open Developer Tools (F12 or right-click → Inspect)
• Go to the Network tab and filter by "spark"
• Refresh the page and look for requests to spark.chargezen.com

For a professional affiliate portal, set up a custom domain:

1. Add a CNAME record pointing to portal.chargezen.com
2. Enter your custom domain in Spark! Settings → Portal → Custom Domain
3. Wait for SSL certificate provisioning (usually under 5 minutes)

Spark! automatically integrates with your Shopify theme. For advanced customization:

• Affiliate Link Badge — Show "Referred by [Name]" on cart/checkout
• Share Widget — Add "Become an Affiliate" buttons to pages
• Referral Tracking — Display referral credit on thank you page

Tracking pixel not loading: Check if you have ad blockers or privacy extensions that might block the tracking script. Spark! uses first-party tracking to minimize blocking issues.

Portal showing 404: Ensure the Spark! portal route is enabled in your Shopify theme's URL settings. Some themes require manual route configuration.

Orders not attributing: Verify the tracking cookie is being set by checking browser cookies for _spark_ref. Cookie duration defaults to 30 days.
